Production technique: the best grapes of Gaglioppo, handly selected, are left to dry on mats until the end of November and then their skins macerate with wine made from freshly harvested grapes. The resulting wines are blended together. It follows an ageing in oak barrels for more than 1 year.
Characteristics: ruby coloured, it boasts fragrant aromatics of berries, violets, raisins and sweet spice. A complex wine of great structure, with intriguing roundness and a pleasantly persistent finish. Suggestions: ideal with braised meat, game and mature cheeses. Delicious also for after dinner conversation.
