I mori - Ippolito 1845

I Mori is a successful blend of one of Calabria’s oldest native grapes, Gaglioppo, with the renowned Bordeaux variety Cabernet Sauvignon.

Alcohol
14% ABV.

Production Technique
The grapes are hand-harvested in mid-October and undergo a long maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, helping to soften the tannins and build further aromatic complexity.

Characteristics
Ruby red in colour with violet hues, offering a complex aromatic profile of ripe red fruits layered with spice, vanilla, and balsamic notes. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with freshness, balance, and strong structure.

Suggestions
A great match for flavourful pasta dishes, roast meats, and mature cheeses.
