Description

The power and elegance of Gaglioppo, Calabria’s ancient indigenous grapes, find their purest expression in this distinguished Cirò. Its character reflects the strength of its homeland. A place where, according to legend, Liber Pater, the Italic god of wine and the vine, drew the delicate aromas that perfumed the feasts held in his honour.

Production Technique

Following a meticulous selection of grapes, the wine undergoes a long maceration on the skins, followed by eight months of refinement.

Characteristics

Ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet offers complex aromas of red fruits, violets, and spices, complemented by subtle oak notes from its ageing. On the palate, it is well-structured and full of personality, with alcohol and soft tannins.

Pairing Suggestions

A full-bodied red that pairs beautifully with red meats, rich pasta dishes, and mature cheeses.
