Deep and glossy ruby in colour, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with fresh, vibrant aromas of black cherries and red plums. On the palate, it is supple, smooth and elegant, with a fresh character and a generous fruity finish.

The Winery
Calcu Vineyards and Viña Maquis share a winery in Palmilla, in the heart of the Colchagua Valley, where their wines are both produced and aged. Built in 2002 with sustainability in mind, the winery uses gravity-flow technology to move grapes and must gently through the winemaking process, helping to preserve the natural aromas and flavours of the fruit.

The winery is also home to an innovative geothermal plant, making it the only winery in Chile to use this type of energy in wine production. This approach has helped reduce gas consumption by 90% and electricity consumption by 40% per litre of wine produced, earning recognition from the Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce.
